Tips on Staying Cool During Summer


Stay hydrated this summer! Drink lots of water, water, water, as well as lemonade or juices. Avoid beverages with caffeine or alcohol as these will raise your body temperature. Sodas will only increase your thirst.

Fruit juice popsicles that are low in sugar are a great way to stay hydrated. Frozen bananas and grapes are also a cool treat. Keep in mind that if you suddenly realize you are thirsty, you have waited too long to drink.

Find indoor activities like going to the movies or taking the kids bowling. This is a great time to reintroduce fun board games and puzzles while sitting in front of a cool fan.
